Defining the true artist

There are musicians who are more than comfortable anonymity. You know, happy to hide behind their guitars or keyboards and be companions the stars of today or tomorrow. Then there are those who have great aspirations of stardom, adoration and spotlight. And then there are those who have the desire driving and the need to say something original artistically, to express and to communicate that expression to an audience, whether it's a small market niche or wider population.
Those falling into the first category can make life, albeit fairly modest as a general rule. Those falling into the second category often live in a bit of an ideal world and, as his tenacity and 'smart' skills, usually end up disappointed because the focus is set in the place where the trip. The third category usually is rewarded in the second category gaining all the success and the limelight, but as a result of focusing on his art Instead of the shallow and frivolous world of the musician. These are usually the most fascinating too, because they usually have a bit of mystery about them and because in fact what most artists want to have, sincere and dedicated talent!
But there are those who are in the early stages of development art that are still learning his trade, and open to influences. You may become great artists in the future, possibly not. It will be an issue of choices and consequences, and opened doors and opportunities seized - or not. Life certainly go further.
But for those who have aspirations of art and expression, then I firmly believe that you think should have qualities that others do not. As an artist I think you should stand out from the herd to be heard. It's so easy make a record these days. No longer need to have the luxury of a recording contract in order to stand on a pedestal and say "I am an artist - buy my album!" With home studios cost a price which was 16 ten years ago and with software to do it all, who can generate a dozen albums if you put your mind to it. Y many do.
However, just because you can, why? - This is my question. Just for fun? Valid OK I guess. But do not it is better to spend that time and energy searching relentlessly for something unique and different? God knows that the record companies are releasing a mediocre per hour. Even artists signed are now the impression that they have something to offer. Maybe they have, but for the most part do not believe (as the audience reaction and their CD sales attest!)
Maybe I'm being very unfair, but I think many artists do not realize they have a responsibility to say something profoundly unique, especially if you expect any kind career longevity. We live in a world where musicians spend their lives emulating their heroes, singers spend their lives emulating Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and so on. Rock guitarists spend their lives emulating Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Paige, Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen. Jazz guitarists are proud emulators of Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Wes Montgomery. Saxophone players worship Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and Michael Brecker. And so on ...
Before continuing I must say that emulating heroes is absolutely necessary in its formative years as musicians. You simply must listen to the greats, past and present. You have to have a strong base and knowledge music and you simply can not go without listening. However, too many "artists" can not go by that stage. Need the approval of peers, need to know that other respected musicians around them recognize and applaud your skills. Often, this happens unconsciously.
This 'peer approval' is a developmental stage that is important. Every musician goes through it at some point. It is quite natural, but I firmly believe that to be a great artist, you have to go beyond that stage and look inward. I always compare the wedding band singers, who despite having an honorable and justifiable (and sometimes envy) career, are too often "performing monkeys. They are often good vocalists, but at the end of the day when seeking approval and applause and failure to communicate or anything artistic expression. They certainly know how to entertain, but do you know how to intrigue? It is a huge difference. Nothing remotely subtle about the extent I'm concerned.
The artists seek unique expression of real communication. They are not more interested in sounding like their heroes. They have moved past that now constantly seeking, developing and perfecting his own unique voice. Look at any of the true giants of yesterday and today. Yes, you can hear references, but also have a strong identity. At some point during their development something bigger than they took over. Chances are they knew at that time and took advantage of him and made an extra effort to really hone that uniqueness.
Finding that inner voice only, can not be so easy for some. I think it begins by acknowledging its technical flaws. Often the deficiencies that ultimately end up becoming its artistic strengths. Let's face it if you were able to play the guitar technically perfect, at all speeds, meticulously for every note that came out was totally clean and audible, would this be in ultimately interesting to an audience? Yes it might be very smart and impressive, but how long could listen to an album in which every sentence is felt as he was having his teeth drilled?
Wes Montgomery played with his thumb did not want to wake the neighbors, ultimately enabling it to become jazz guitarist in the greatest and most influential of all time. BB King is about three sentences in his entire repertoire of blues. Does anyone not know BB King when you hear it? Thelonius Monk refused to comply with traditional techniques and musical ideas piano. Just had to play music the way he heard in his head. He made such an initiative bold musical statement during the time that is now emulated throughout the world and revered by the greatest musicians alive today.
technical deficiencies can be the essence of his art unique. Now, if these deficiencies in the way of what you need to say musically then those weaknesses have to turn around not to pose an obstacle to what you hear in your head.
Remember that the true artist only communicate inside. All other extraneous thoughts, the influences and distractions need to stay on the road. At the time a sentence or phrase is interpreted his hero and sings (and made famous) ends up on your record - beware! You could be in trouble. Absolutely steal from your heroes, but just remember that this is what true art has to say, not what their heroes have said before, and possibly have said it better.
Take the best and look for truly unique quality within. After all, great talent are all so desperately close hope can only be you!

5 working musicians Working Solutions

As creators and artists of original music, all I would like nothing more for cleaning our issues across the airwaves to bring a steady income stream ongoing residual income. Some people realize that and more power to them. Because I do not have and that is not the purpose of this article. I'll say good luck in your search of that dream, if you are still running.
The objective here is to discuss five working solutions (working or not for that matter) musicians can use or apply to have extra income.
It is not about getting rich programs Internet money fast and easy. These are 5 solid solutions to the royalists make extra money to supplement his true passion, playing music. Some of these may have consider and some sites may not know. The Internet has changed everything and is always changing. There are always opportunities out there. Just be careful wrong not to engage in or participate in too. The Internet can be really a tangled web if you get caught.
One of the best things you can do is find a business mentor, someone who is successful in the efforts being carried out. Surround yourself with successful people will help you overcome the obstacles we all face in achieving a company. You also need a healthy and positive attitude of confidence in yourself. In developing these, you become inspired to do great things.
With that said here are five solutions:
Solution 1: Royalty Free Music Factory
Free Music Factory is a website that pays you, the musician, a commission on sales of its soundtracks. The site's founder, Mike Rowntree, is a musician and sound engineer who came to realize that there is a large international market for music tracks you hear on the radio, television and Internet sites. The producers of these commercials and media want to avoid paying ongoing royalty, which is how developed this niche market. Hang 15, 30 and 60 MP3 tracks with his second long-term version (which counts as a track) and will be reviewed within 2 business days. Once accepted, your name appears on the site for sale. You pay a 35% commission on every track sold. Check it out in: http://www.royaltyfreemusicfactory.com/
Solution 2: Digitally Delivered Goods
All products are delivered digitally over the Internet and education music is no exception. The biggest retailer of these products is Clickbank. Products range from simple e-books, to membership sites like http://www.musicmasterpro.com/ blown video instruction online. To get started on a shoestring, you will need a PDF writing program and a free Clickbank account. The most popular software is Adobe Acrobat PDF, but you can probably find a free shareware program that will do what you need. Accompany to PDF files MP3 can not just charge more, but probably sell more. I bought http://www.bassguitarsecrets.com/ Alex Sampson and thoroughly enjoyed what I've experienced parties. Alex charges $ 49.95 for this product and I feel like if more than delivery.
Solution # 3: Become a member.
With Clickbank your account also can become an affiliate of other companies and make a commission on sales. For example, MusicMasterPro pays 70% commission on membership sales. With your free account Clickbank you will need what is called a Hoplink "to the affiliate you are promoting. The hoplink is a combination of your ID and Clickbank affiliate you is promoting the identification. Clickbank pays you directly of its committees.
Another great website is Affiliate Commission Junction.http: / / www.cj.com/ You can find complementary products to sell and receive a commission if a sale is made through your link.
Solution 4: DVD Production & Sales
An old friend of mine (Tony, who happens to be the godfather of my daughter), earn extra money doing it big. He is a full-time drummer Bourbon Street here in New Orleans and makes and sells DVD in clubs working in. To do this however, you have to do a deal with the owner of the club and split the profits. They certainly do not want you making money from the pockets of their customers, but if you make an agreement that both can benefit from DVD sales.
Back in the day pay a sound studio $ 50/hr, practice to perfection on one leg in the study, then send the thing out to a place called Master Disc or so to make the CD. I guess people still do, but with all the technology out there you can do it yourself. As said earlier, we are talking about make extra money - not to be a star rock!
Apart from the camera, you need a video editing software as http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ and a CD / DVD label maker. Instead of use the audio from the camera, Tony has some very small, portable recording device that uses inexpensive to record the band live. It's easy and fast and DVD can leave quickly. Of course, it helps to have an exit singer / vocalist to push the product!
Solution # 5: The solution to $ 9
Rissener Chad, El Vaquero Marketing has a solution $ 9 to make money online and work at home. Chad is a guitarist and singer of the North County Band. http://www.northcountyband.com/
$ 9 Chad solution teaches you everything you need to know about Internet marketing and how to develop a successful job in the business at home. With the settlement of $ 9, Chad has a sound file and guides you through the entire process of how to build a successful business right from your computer, without having to sell products. It also comes with a successful 10-day marketing guide that income-producing activities is to ensure its success.
