Things to do in Steamboat Springs, CO?

We are planning to get out there the last week of June! We are looking for places to go, see and do! Any thoughts would be great! We will also have my nephew 3 years with us!

Well, if you go in June, excluding winter activities. So here are some suggestions: Strawberry Park Hot Springs ... Great natural springs. In summer, you should be able to reach it without four-wheel drive (which is a bit out of town). If you do not have a car, you can get a taxi or shuttle buses (try Sweet Pea Hot Springs Transfers). It's really nice, especially at night, but after dark, adults only clothing-optional. That probably has a website. Tube the Yampa ... If you've never tubed a river, this is a good place to start. There are several companies that rent tubes and transfer back to the point drop out (in point is in the city). Backdoor Sports is probably the best. You can fall in the right of his back door. A great family activity and fun for adults. Fishing fly is great. There are several places you can get the equipment and some places offer free lessons if you are new to him. I'm not a fly fisherman, so We do not have much information on the subject. Walking ... You can get out of town fast and get some great hiking places, not to mention some pretty good rides from the city. Spring Creek or Howelsen Emerald Hill and the mountains are easily accessible from the city. Mountain Biking ... You can rent bikes in a series of places, but if you are an avid biker, go up the mountain slopes. You can ride the gondola and ride the mountain bike trails. All the fun without cycling uphill work. You can walk there too. Festivals ... Steamboat has been really marketing Steamboat in the summer. Seems to be some type of festival or even every weekend. You could do there for Art in the Park and the Balloon Rodeo, or maybe the Mustang Roundup (orders Mustang, that is). It appears that is something every weekend these days. Take a look at the association complex camera for a calendar of events. Guest Ranches ... There are a number of ranches results very far from the city which offer a number of opportunities. Horseback riding or just a big dinner. A couple are the Dutch Creek Ranch Home and Guest Ranch. Many offer to ro and the city. Google and you will probably find some more. Western Rodeo ... In the summer, the national rodeo circuit comes through Steamboat. And with plenty of action local rodeo, some kind of detour in the fairground most nights of the week. It's worth seeing if you have not been to before. Hot Air Balloon Rides ... I never made same, but there is a place or two can go. Pegasus Balloon Tours comes to mind. Fish Creek Falls ... You probably have a vehicle to get there, but not far from the city. A service transportation from the hotel, probably will take you there. Ideal for viewing a waterfall or hiking. Not need to walk far to see the falls, and if you're not into hiking, a great place for a picnic. Alpine Slide ... It is just outside the center and run by the city. Located in Howelsen Hill, a fun time for children or adults. Old Town Hot Springs ... On the east side of town down. It has hot and cold pools, thermal baths, a full gym and water slides. Something for the set. Steamboat Lake State Park family ... It is not too accessible unless you have a vehicle. It is 25 miles north of the city. But it is a great place for camping, hikes, picnics, etc., or rent a boat and spend time at the lake. That's all I got to the top of my head, but if you get a hold of the Chamber of Commerce or on the ski hill or the visitor center, etc. I'm sure will be happy to send a lot of information.
