I would like to know more about Stock Photography and images to sell?

I have a background in offset printing and graphic art. I've always been a amateur photographer. So I feel I can have an eye for and an idea of what is desirable. I'm not here to make a quick buck or bigger, to give greater effect my passion to challenge myself and to develop new techniques and an excuse to buy more equipment. So please tell me their experiences, link some samples of what is sold would also be of interest. How many and how diverse you need my wallet to be to even begin to consider it as a option. There are basically two types of company stock photography. Macro corporations like Getty Images and Alamy. Then there are the sites of values as the action of micro shutter or Istockphoto. If you are accepted to the macro stock sites. You can make a decent amount of money from them. Keep in mind that your photos have to be perfect. All photos must that have been taken with a minimum of 6 MP digital SLR RAW files. Composition, exposure, focus, white balance, etc have to be perfect. If you go this path must be at least 200 photos to contribute. It continuously update lists of items they are seeking. Check them out first and see if the photos are eligible and if have items of interest Once accepted may contribute more or less what you want, but it is best to do what is wanted. Micro stock sites are a completely different animal. In my opinion, take advantage of people. The only thing is they make money. You will be lucky to make a couple bucks per download. Most stock agencies macro will not accept the job if it is available at these sites. However, they are much more tolerant in what they will accept. Most any idiot with a camera Digital can use these sites. I hope this helps explain everything. Good luck
