Frenchman Christophe Savary won the World Poker Tour (WPT) Marrakech Sunday, October 18th! This is the 2nd victory of France this year, with Thomas Bichon WPT in Cyprus. It must be said that the French contingent was important because of the proximity between Morocco and the history of France. Christophe Savary O'Dea beat the Irish in the final thanks to an aggressive poker.

Ludovic Lacayo finished the tournament at the position of the 3rd. However, the French was again ready for a great victory but did not understand. It was also chipleader in the tournament final. The reward of 245 000 $ that Console help.

Chilipoker was the organizer of the tournament that was held from 11 to 18 October 2009 at the Casino de Marrakech in Morocco. The tournament was sponsored by Roger Hairabedian. WPT tournament was first held in Africa, and was a success. 416 players were in fact made in the tournament to 4 500 € of entry. The donation mounted to nearly 2.5 million dollars! Not only the stars as the French Arnaud Mattern, Eliana, Bruno Fitoussi played in this tournament, but also international stars such as Esfandiari and Tony G. Because of this success, the tournament is expected to return to appear in the planning of the WPT.
