Female Photography - Photographing the feminine form

Recently I wet my feet in the waters of artistic photography, and even more recently I tried my hand at capturing the female body in photography. I have been reluctant to do so at least in part because I felt I had much to contribute to this genre. It's hard to think of the most photographed of the female form sensual ... or not. Nude in the woods on the nude female form on motorcycles ... this seems to have been made before, and yet, as an artist, I have always felt compelled to explore, so to speak, tasteful photography of the female body.

It took some twenty-seven, but I've finally started a series of photographic studies of the human body, not only women but men too, I feel offers something new. And in the process I have found that the creation of such studies, while not something totally new and different, you can also fulfill the job.

What I have been interested to begin with, was a series of images I created of city lights using long exposure times ... usually in the range of seconds, while moving the camera. I was sitting in an outdoor cafe in Vietnam at night with several friends and doing nothing for long exposure shots of the street lamps, from where we sat. The combination of blinking lights neon bar along with the movement of the camera led to a kind of liquid fireworks "" Feel. Since that night I was hooked to shoot lights of the city that way. As I started to develop a body of work caught my attention Lyric and sensual nature to some of the pictures ... and how some of them seemed to take the form of the female body.

Was sensual feel of some of the images of light that first led me to decide to shoot the human body. I decided to shoot some nude photographs (of both men and women) and combine them with my long-exposure photos of light, using Photoshop to create a series of images that explore combinations of color, light, and naked. In I have some models assume that the work raises the lights ... and sometimes I'll start with the pose and the look of the lights that match the position ... or can manipulate Photoshop promote a better picture of the model.
